Tulē to Offer Yoga Classes in Davis, CA!

We Almost Didn’t Offer Yoga Classes at Tulē

When we first started designing Tulē, our vision was clear:

Create the Sacramento Valley’s flagship wellness retreat—a place centered around recovery, performance, and longevity.

That meant focusing on:
– A European-inspired bathhouse experience
– Massage therapy
– A thoughtfully designed gym
– Advanced body composition and longevity testing

But early on, I made a decision that felt practical at the time:

We weren’t going to offer a regular schedule of classes.

Not because I don’t believe in yoga or group fitness—but because I was trying to simplify operations.

Classes add complexity.
You need great instructors.
You need a consistent schedule.
You need backup plans when things inevitably change.

And when you’re already building something this ambitious, it’s easy to say:
Let’s not overcomplicate it.

Why That Decision Didn’t Sit Right

Even as construction moved forward, something felt off.

On paper, Tulē had everything you’d expect from a high-end wellness space in Davis, California.

But when I imagined someone actually spending time here…

it felt like something was missing.

Not in terms of amenities—
but in terms of experience.

The Difference Between a Gym and a Wellness Community

There are plenty of places to work out near Sacramento and Davis.

There are also places to relax—massage studios, recovery spaces.

But what separates a good wellness space from a truly memorable one?

Community.

And community doesn’t come from equipment or design alone.

It comes from shared experiences.

That’s when it clicked:

If Tulē is going to be more than just a gym in Davis, CA…
if it’s going to be a true wellness destination

we need something that brings people together in a meaningful way.

Why Yoga and Movement Classes Matter

Yoga classes, breathwork sessions, and guided movement experiences do something that individual workouts can’t:

They create connection.

A room full of people moving together—
breathing together—
slowing down together—

That’s where energy builds.

That’s where people start to feel like they belong.

And that’s exactly the kind of environment we want to create at Tulē.

Introducing the Tulē Yoga Shala

So we made a big decision.

We went back to the drawing board and redesigned part of the space to include:

A 720 square foot yoga shala

This isn’t an afterthought or a small add-on.

It’s a purpose-built space designed specifically for:

– Yoga classes (flow, restorative, heated-style experiences)
– Breathwork sessions
– Mobility and recovery-focused classes
– Small group movement and wellness workshops

Our goal is to offer some of the most intentional yoga classes in Davis, CA, within a space that complements the full Tulē experience.

A Different Kind of Yoga Experience in Davis

Most yoga studios focus on just one piece of the puzzle.

At Tulē, yoga is part of something bigger.

Imagine this:

You take a class in the yoga shala…
then move into a sauna or steam…
follow it with a cold plunge…
and finish with hot tea in our lounge.

This integrated experience is what makes Tulē different from a traditional yoga studio in Davis or a standard gym.

It’s designed to support performance, recovery, and mindfullness—all in one place.

Help Us Shape the Future of Tulē Classes

As we build out our class offerings, we want input from the community.
